Mother's Day 2009!

Well, my 2nd Mother's Day was an amazing success! It was such a fun day and I felt so appreciated! :)
The day started EARLY with a 7:15 breakfast at IHOP with the Clarks & Dukes. Bailey had a rough start...

but after some Poppy time, she was doing much better!
Nanny was there and brought us all Kiwi's with little stickers on them. Happy Mother's Day to everyone!
It was great, but we soon realized it was time to head to church!
So we took the traditional family pic and loaded up to head over to BattleCreek.

Caden was adorable, as usual...
Andrew and Bailey had a wonderful time in the back seat, 2 crazy kids!
After nursery, we went to church and dedicated ourselves as parents and little Caden to Christ. It was a beautiful service.
It was so fun and great to stand in front of everyone and publically declare my intent to raise Caden in a Christian home and have everyone pray that he find Christ at an early age.

Then after church we went to the Clark's for sandwiches. Here is a picture of the moms!
Bailey was sooooooo cute, she was throughly enjoying her cheese!
Then we were off to the Driller's baseball game! Chuck bought Bailey her very first baseball!
The team wore pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness for Mother's day, and all the mom's got a pink Driller's hat!

The children met, Hornsby, the team mascot. Neither Bailey nor Hunter was overly thrilled with the gigantic blue ox...
but he was cute and let us take a bunch of pictures.

At one point, a Quicktrip Eggroll, Hot dog and Taquito raced around the bases. It was hilarious! The Hot Dog won...

After the game, it was nap time for the kids, and Jason made me an amazing meal of Spaghetti and garlic bread, then we played games with Andrew while drinking coffee and enjoying our Mother's day cheesecake!
It was a wonderful day... I loved it, I love being a mom.

What Fun!

Life has been busy, crazy but oh, so FUN! In the past week, I've gotten to go to the Bahamas with my friend and I got to spend 24 hours with my dad who was in town for a 50th anniversary celebration. Both adventures were so incredible and made me remember that even though I'm hot, pregnant and cranky, at times, I am so amazingly blessed. I met my best friend, Sarah, in 1991. I was in 1st grade and she was in 2nd. We met at church and have been buds ever since. We got to celebrate our 20th anniversary with a 5 day trip to the Bahamas where we were on a resort and got to relax. Mom

Being a mom isn't easy. It doesn't come to you overnight, everyday brings new challenges, new questions, new concerns. Devan doesn't care if I'm tired at 5:30am and he's hungry. Caden doesn't understand why I can't get out of the shower to help him get his car from under the couch and Bailey wants to dance ALL the time. Sometimes, I can't dance. They don't understand why mom isn't on call to them all day, and it can be overwhelming. Yet, this job is the ONLY thing I want to do. God made me to be a mom. He gave me big hips to hold my babies, long arms to cradle them to sleep and He gave me a huge heart with room for all of them. Having three children that are 4 and under is not an easy feat, but everyday is so full of adventures and surprises. Devan surprises me with how much he grows and how fast he is learning to make new noises and laugh. Caden is becoming very verbal and has an amazing sense of humor. Regular Old Blog Update

I couldn't think of a creative title for this update (obviously) and I apologize for the monotony the title implies. But, today was just a regular day. Bailey was hilarious, adorable and a total hand full. Caden is still sick, I don't know what to do at this point but to wait and see if he gets worse. It's sad, really, I hate this waiting game. I just want him better. I can't feel good when my son is hurting, it's just not possible! Well, here's a funny story to lighten the mood. I was working on the computer today, and heard Caden coughing. Bailey had been sitting in my lap, so I set her on the floor and went in to see if Caden was ok. When I came back out into the hallway where our computer is, this is what I found... Yeah, luckily, Jason was at work, so I got them all put away before he got home. She's just so cute!
