April Adventures

It's been a great month full of fun times with friends. My Best Friend, Sarah, brought her 2 kids, Hiba and Matthias, up for a visit. It was so fun, the weather was perfect and the kids loved playing together. Later, we went down for Hiba's 2nd birthday party. It had a bubbles theme and it was amazing! This is one of my most favorite pictures I've ever taken of my little girl. Bailey Elizabeth, Christa Michelle, Sarah Elizabeth and Hiba Michelle He is so precious, my little dude doesn't want to walk yet, but I guess getting his hands dirty is not an option, so he came up with this all on his own. He does it all the time now! What a goof! It's been a great month full of friends, beautiful weather, new gardens, home improvement projects and other dreams. It's been great. I am so blessed.

Valentines 2010

Valentines Day at our home was so much fun this year. We got goodies from my mom including new Valentines outfits (pictured above) and cute cards from Granny Kelch. Below is Bailey opening her card from Granny. (I do not know why blogspot hates me and always does this dumb text formatting at the beginning of my posts.) The we decided it was time to make a Valentine's treat. So Bailey and I made Valentines cupcakes. It was quite a process! We started with putting our hair back and donning our aprons. Isn't she a doll? Then we found a recipe and Bailey got the measuring spoons. Bailey got to help dump some of the dry ingredients... and she got to hand me the eggs. She was sooo funny, she loved every step and kept saying "I wanna help! I wanna help!" Then it was time to blend, Bailey was a very good helper. She learned how to turn on the kitchenaide and watched it until it was smooth! She even got a snitch when I was focusing on the camera... She was a happy girl! I pour...

My cuties in the tub

It's been a rough week for sure, but these kids make me so incredibly happy. Caden with his chubby cheeks, bright red hair and 2 little teeth poking through. Bailey with her adorable curls, cute little words and her incredibly simple view of the world. It's nice to remember that even when things are bleak, my children are there to keep me laughing, raise my spirits and remind me of God's faithfulness and continual blessings.

A weekend away

We had a lovely weekend at the cabins with the Clarks and their small group. It was lovely! The weather had just enough chill in it to make the cabins extra cozy and everyone's cheeks just a little rosie. We played games, ate lots of food and just really relaxed. Bailey was so cute, toddling all over the place. She's quite the walker now. Since she's has walking down so well, we thought it was about time for her to learn another way of moving... We really had a blast out there, here are some highlights. Chuck taught Bailey how to play cards. We played lots of ping pong. Jason and I both beat Chuck (which is impressive if you know how good that man is with any kind of raquet!). Bailey discovere the wonder of a doorknob. Luckily she's not quite strong enough to pull open the door, but she sure was proud of herself! Here's Bailey perfecting her new driving skills. Notice the placements of the hands, the eyes on the road, the seriousness in which she takes this new resp...
