Hawaiian Vacation- Part 4

After Kona, we went to Kuaui, by far, my favorite island of the whole trip. It was BEAUTIFUL. Unlike anything I had ever witnessed in person, the lands were so lush, so untouched by commercialism, the way God had created it. We went on a kayaking/ zip line adventure thing, but I left my very expensive camera in the car (for obvious reasons) so these pictures are of some of the beautiful places we stopped on the way to and from the adventure park.












It was so incredible and I totally want to go back sometime and spend a whole week just on this island. It took my breath away. I'm going back someday with my family. Dad and I are going scuba diving, it's going to happen, and I can't wait!

    joe's been to hawaii a couple of times (when he was younger) and really wants to go back...maybe we could all go together!!! i really hope our guys end up as good friends!

My Extreme Makeover Home Edition

So, as many of you know, we bought a house in May of 2008 that was quite a fixer-upper. It was a foreclosure that had been empty for 2 years! We have spent the last 8 months scrubbing, painting and getting the inside just the way we want it. We have bold colors on the walls, family pictures everywhere, new wood floors down and pretty lighting fixtures that really lighten up the place. But, the thorn in my side has been the outside. Due to the fact that it was empty for so long, the trim went from hunter green, to hideous turquoise. The main color used to be a yellowish cream and now looks more like a very light pink. (yick!) Well, all that changed this weekend when my wonderful in-laws came over and helped us paint. The BEFORE: (boo!) The AFTER: (hooray!) Thank you so, so much to the Clarks and to Jason for working so hard to make our house look so wonderful. It truly feels like our home now.

Life Lately

Life has been busy lately. Caden is wrapping up potty training. This makes me very happy. I've been changing diapers since October 25, 2007. I'm ready for a break before Baby 3 gets here! Bailey is starting gymnastics soon! There was an incredible deal at a local gymnastics academy and she's starting in the next couple weeks. I just have to call and sign her up! The only problem I'm having is finding a leotard that covers every inch of her! :) Jason's job is going really well. It's been crazy busy which is one reason that it is 7:10 on Sunday evening and we are all at the office! I'm working on finding stuff for the baby's room online, Bailey and Caden are watching Veggie Tales and Jason is plugging away trying to get ahead before another week starts tomorrow!
