I'm back

Hello blogging world. I have missed you. Things have been insane, but wonderful. That's how my life is and I like it that way. My two beautiful children continue to grow and astonish me with what they are learning and how incredibly sweet they both are.
I got a new job working at Target Portrait Studios for Lifetouch Studios. It's a pretty sweet gig. I get to work with families, making them smile and capturing sweet moments that they will treasure for years to come. I know it's sappy, but it's true. Below are some pictures that we took for a training session when another girl and I were learning to use the camera. We had some pretty adorable models, so it wasn't too challenging to get a great shot.

So, I've been working there for about 6 weeks. We've had some fun times and some pretty stressful times. I had a family come in who didn't speak English and trying to explain "a standard sheet includes either one 8x10, 2-5x7s, 4-3.5x5's or 8-wallets" can be very tiring when you don't speak the same language! We also had a slumber party come in with eight girls under the age of seven who wanted group shots in their dress up clothes, then individual shots, then they all changed into "slumber party" shirts and we took more group shots. Believe me, I was so tired when that group pulled out and swore off slumber parties for my children until they're 18 and on their own!
But the sweet times are more frequent and so fun. I had a lady bring in her special needs son who was paralyzed from the waist down and he was so incredibly happy and sweet and we got some great shots of him on a couch sitting up on his own! His mom was so happy, our couch just happened to be the right size and shape to keep him up without mom's help. I also had a lady come in with her seven month old who was teething and she was so upset because she had never gotten his pictures taken and she felt horrible. So, I worked with her and got some great shots, she cried when she saw them and ordered a ton, but it was her "thank you" that really made me happy. This is a job where you get to give someone something so special. It's not a toy they can break or a book they'll read and forget about, it's something they put up in their homes, proudly display and keep for years to come in photo albums to remember these precious times. It's a great job that I adore.
I am blessed.
