We have had a beautiful winter snow storm blow through, covering our little world in pure softness. The kids have loved it and have spent 2 days getting to know more about this new wonder called snow. Here are some pictures of our fun.
She did NOT like eating the snow...
He loved EVERYTHING about the snow!
The making of a snowman, but in honor of Grandpa Keena, we made a snowlady.
It was a lot of fun and produced a lovely "snowmam", 2 exhausted toddlers, a ton of wet, cold laundry and some amazing family memories.
Oh, it's all coming back to me now! Fatigue, aches and swinging hormones that can have me sobbing in a pillow one minute and dancing to Frank Sinatra with Caden the next minute. However, it hasn't been unbearable and I know that it will totally be worth it in November. I have been blessed with no real morning sickness and Jason is incredibly patient and helpful whenever I need him, I know I am so blessed. We have an appointment on Tuesday, the first pre-natal visit. I'm really excited, I have the doctor I had with Bailey and Caden, so I'm already comfortable with her and know what to expect. Pray for safety for the baby (we're calling the baby "Baby D" because his/her name will probably start with a D) and patience for Jason and myself. Also lift up in prayer my friend, Jessica Dodson, who found out this morning she had a miscarriage, she was due the week before I am, so it's been a hard day, but she and her husband are such strong Christians and I kno...
This Christmas we made sushi with my family in Montana. I made one semi-successful roll and really loved it! I thought that sushi was exclusively in the seafood category, so I never really tried it, but I learned that you can put chicken and beef in sushi, so we have started trying new things and decided to have a sushi party. We bought a sushi rolling kit at Target and bought out the Asian food aisle at Reasor's. Then it was time to clean. As most of you know, my children are incredible. They are well behaved, they are brilliant and lately, they've become extremely helpful! I gave them each jobs and they did great! Caden helped load the dishwasher, vacuum the living room carpet and wipe down the tables. Bailey cleaned the front bathroom and swept the floors. While they didn't do a perfect job, they were so cute and both just wanted to help. It was awesome. Finally it was time for the party. We had 2 couples over from church with their kids and then a couple fro...
Life has been beautifully busy lately! It's tiring but so much fun! Bailey's been in gymnastics for a couple months now and is really enjoying it. She's in it with one of her best friends, Channing, so it's been fun to see them do gymnastics together! She had a recital a few weeks ago and did great! She's in the preschool class so it was definitely the more adorable part of the routine! Bailey is all the way to the left, her friend Channing is all the way on the right. Bailey went around and did a little routine where she showed what she could do on each of the apparatuses. This is her on the pomal horse (sp?), she did great! She also did the bar, the balance beam, a frontward and backward roll, 3 "cartwheels" and some jumps. It was precious. At the end, every girl got a trophy and certificate and got to stand on top of the podium and get her picture taken. It was such a fun, special evening with my little girl. She doesn't get tons of atten...
I love the photos, and the fact that you had fun! Tell B that snow is much more edible when Papa makes his snow cream!
