Family Camp

Family Camp was such an incredible time together with the family. We had such a blast, but missed Granny and Grandpa tons.
At the beginning we had a welcome chapel where dad was introduced. He was such a good speaker and got a really good response to what he was teaching. Grace and Bailey at the opening Chapel.
Doug and Caden got some bonding time waiting for the cookout to start.
Emily and her incredible modeling skills.
Silly girls...
Bailey, coloring our family poster, waiting for the hamburgers.

Caden had a fan. She came over to say hi, and stayed for awhile, until her dad came and got her.

Rest time- it's obvious just how tired she is because she's laying down on a big bed and not jumping on it.

The gift exchange- Dad had Caden and gave him "The Very Hungry Caterpillar". He loved it!

Caden had Grace and made her a lovely collage of pictures!
Grace gave Bethany a super-cute skirt, which she LOVED!
Bailey got a super cute shirt from the Cat Eye Grill in Montana.

Bailey had Emily and got her a box full of chocolates!
Danae had David and got him a really cool frisbee.
Doug had Andrew and got him the first season of Alf.
Andrew had Doug and gave him a plate from the pottery place Emily works at!
Jason got a really cool teeshirt and MirrorMask (a movie we lost a long time ago!)

Caden loved his book!
Jason had dad and got him a book about baseball and baseball pics of the 2 kids.

Mom, opening her present from Granny.
A video of home videos from when mom was little. She wasn't quite sure what it was when she first opened it.
So we went to the chapel and put the dvd in and watched it on the big projector, she was getting ready for it to start.

It started with pictures of her home town, she was still trying to figure out what it was, and enjoying her ice cream.

Then, there was pictures of her coming home from the hospital and she figured out what it was, that's when the tears started. We all knew it meant so much to her and that she was missing Granny.

Bailey, walking around on the stage.
It ended up being about an hour and a half of home movies, but it was amazing. We all learned so much about mom's family and got to witness a whole part of her life that we never knew about!
The next day, we went to morning camp party where there was a special guest. King Ooga Booga!
My adorable parents in their matching shirts.
Dad, teaching, he was INCREDIBLE.
